“Room of thoughts” – a participative installation by Kathrin Ollroge in public space

Since September 2014 the traveling living room “Room of thoughts” has been inviting people to gather in public spaces in Eastern Germany to exchange thoughts and experiences about escape, asylum and community. The visual artist Kathrin Ollroge is collecting the culminating impressions through writings and portraits. In june 2016 the traveling living room will stop at the faculty of law at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, to collect opinions and proposals around judicial issues and asylum from students and visitors. In addition students and visitors will also be asked to take portraits. The results will be published at a later date.

A project by Kathrin Ollroge, curated by Katia Hermann with the kind support of the Faculty of law of Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and honorable donors.
